2000-2002
The work in On the Verge consists of constructed photographic images in which two worlds cohabit one space and time: the real (i.e., the lens’ reflection of reality), and the virtual (i.e., a neoplatonic, digitized simulation of reality).
For example, in the piece below we represent the audio via the computer sound wave display so there is a tighter parallel between what you see and hear. But still, they each require a viewer to deal with distinctly different classes of representation and information.
